Established in 2020 to honor Past National Vice President, Tanya Hand, who served in the national organization, the Mid-Western Region, and the Indianapolis chapter collectively for 22 years. The purpose of this book award is to assist graduating high school seniors in continuing their education and to support the mission of Jack and Jill of America, Inc. – to nurture the next generation of African American leaders. The book award targets high school seniors in the Indianapolis Metropolitan area who plan to attend a four-year institution, two-year institution, or trade school.
